An Introductory Note from Ms. Tracey, Head of School
Welcome to Rock Prairie Montessori School! I recently embraced the role of Head of School and am thrilled to deepen my connection with our whole Rock Prairie community. Whether you are new to the school, have known me for all of our shared years at RPMS, or are getting to know me for the first time, I hope this letter gives you a greater sense of who I am and how I hope to lead us into the future.
As Head of School, I view leadership as stewardship. My responsibility is to uphold our Montessori philosophy with integrity, support the growth of faculty, staff, and families, and ensure that daily operations and long-term decisions align with our school’s mission. I believe a healthy school culture is built on clarity, trust, and shared purpose.
My philosophy of education reflects a deep belief in human potential and in the power of schools to shape thoughtful, capable, and compassionate individuals. By honoring development, fostering meaningful work, and leading with clarity and care, education becomes a force for both individual growth and a more just and peaceful world.
My service to our community is rooted in Montessori principles and guided by my deep respect for human development and transformation. I believe schools hold both an educational and moral responsibility to prepare young people to become informed citizens who contribute thoughtfully and compassionately to their communities. With this outcome in mind, I will align our mission, practice, and my leadership with the developmental needs of children at every stage.
Here at RPMS, respect, courtesy, and peace are integrated into our daily practice through adult modeling, clear expectations, and strong relationships. When students feel known, valued, and trusted, they engage deeply and take ownership of their learning. I invite you to work alongside all of us to create a community that fosters respect, courtesy, and peace.
Warm regards,
Ms. Tracey
